The main objective
of this study is to explore
The existing relation among the Millon’s One Dimensional Model patterns of non-adaptative personalities of
consumers and not consumers of marihuana. The sample was constituted by 82 Peruvian participants of both sexes divided
in two groups, one of habitual consumers of marihuana (N=41; Average Age = 24.3; Standar Desviation = 7.65) who attended orientation sessions at the “Lugar de Escucha” Program at the Center of Information and Education for the Prevention of the Abuse of Drugs (CEDRO) and a group of not consumers of marihuana (N=41; Average Age = 30.8; Standard Deviation = 4.37) of a private credit company. The data collections were carried out through the Multiaxial Clinical Inventory of Millon (MCMI-II) and the Personal Information Form (FdA). The results showed a significant difference
between the group of consumers and not consumers of marihuana in the majority of the scales of clinical patterns and severe pathology of personality, significant difference not being found in the scale of dependence to drugs (t=-2,66, p
=,010). Likewise it was found a significant difference in the majority of the scales of severe and clinical syndromes of personality in both groups, in reference to the scale of anxiety there was no significant difference between the group of consumers and not consumers of marihuana (t=5,22 p =,640). The results found in this study suggest that stand out differences exist among the patterns of non-adaptative personality of the Millon’s theory between the consumers and not consumers of marihuana, considering this, is very important to keep in mind these differences in the process of treatment of marihuana addictions.
