Where the Big Bang exploded?
Reflect on what it means now the community or not versed in science, on the creation of
the universe. It is not easy or simple task the subject is, indeed, one thorny. They cross the great avenues of science and religion. Devotees of either of these areas of knowledge-scientific knowledge and theological often assumes the knowledge that their colleagues have on this "event" as singular, as is the beginning of everything. Is that in this particular topic are scarce arguments supporting one of these avenues is located above the other, and sometimes clashes are inevitable. This note will not discuss religion exceeds our competition. We will be interested, however, the idea that scientists have on the scope of science to study this unique event (if, indeed, this event happened) that would have come all that ever existed, exists or ever.. The origin of the universe is a topic that has wrought more misconceptions in the popular imagination. Expressions such as "the existence of a large explosion" (literally, Big Bang, in English) have to think, mistakenly, that the expansion of the universe began at a particular point in space, a sort of "primitive atom", as the imagined by cosmologists in the early 1930s, or "primitive egg" of the ancient Hindu cosmology, where the entire universe would concentrate initially found. These inaccuracies, unfortunately very common today, may rightly lead us to ask: Where does the initial atom? What place throughout the vast cosmos was the privileged? For many of the ancient mythologies the question does present problems, given the position of centrality of the Earth. These days, however, modern science accepts the cosmological or Copernican principle, which states that no privileged place in the universe. The "big bang" could not therefore have come at a particular point of the cosmos and not the countless other equivalent points. And what is even more provocative, how to say that the "explosion" occurred in a given place and at a given time if, in fact, in the "explosion" that created the space and time? The truth is that Big Bang models do not explain the Big Bang! Confused? Then put it differently: the models called the big bang does not purport to explain what happens in this "big bang", much less how it happens this "big bang". Big Bang models do explain the existence of an expanding universe, a universe in evolution, which in the past was more dense, energy and heat than it is now. Furthermore, these models suggest that global expansion is observed for any group of observers located anywhere in the universe. This leads to a range of theoretical predictions have been verified by many different astrophysical observations which underpin our confidence in these models. In other words, the models explained the Big Bang with incredible precision the evolution of our universe from primordial times to the present, not its origin. Near the source, the description of the universe by means of general relativity, mainstay of theoretical cosmology, fails. The theory becomes non-predictive and must then find another more appropriate scientific description. While the latter years of last century saw significant developments in this area of theoretical physics, the construction of this "grand theory" remained one of the great hopes for the XXI century.
